Actually, seeding is not based on which stage you have qualified for, but on past points collected. For example, Fenerbahce will be seeded in the 3rd round so can not be drawn against Barcelona (starts at 3rd round)or Rangers (starts at 2nd round) while some of the teams that start in 3rd round will not be seeded. They had to go through all stages because they qualified as Champions despite finishing 5th in the EPL. Its not entirely likely that any of the teams will make it through all the qualifying rounds, I guess thats why the rule changes next season. It'll be good to have club football back though.
