It isn’t as simple as that I fear. I’m not trying to take the Scudetto away from Inter – it is Inter’s! – but you know that there are alot of other factors than just the point deduction.

Maybe Ibra would have gone anyway, who knows? But Cana, Zambro et al would still be at Juventus and then Juve would have been stronger and gained more points elsewhere. Its impossible to tell what would have happened.

And I say Yes! Even if Juve was up and they got 6 points off of us, we are still 14 points clear. Even if all the teams got all their points back, we are still hugely ahead. According to Ibra, he and Inter were already in talks before Juve went down. I dont know if him leaving is 100% based on relegation.

We won it 2006/2007 and 2007/2008. Hopefully 2008/2009 will be a real number 3 (although, I might take CL over another scudetto, if I have to choose that is).

I guess the question is whether Inter would have won the league if Juve hadn’t gone down a league, lost Ibrakadabra, Milan hadn’t been docked points etc etc. This year, I think they won it fair and square though, despite the wobble near the end.

Not so, Milan, Fiorentina, Reggina, and Lazio were docked points in the 2006/2007 season for calciopoly-related infractions.

Still, Inter only lost 1 game that season in league play and we finished with 95 points – well ahead of Roma (75 pts). I think we won last year and this year fair and square. The only thing that helped us from Juve being sent down was that we got Ibra and Vieiri – neither wanted to play in B so they came to Inter.

And did I miss the sarcasm or did someone on this board besides me actually write something nice about Inter?

The only ones that were “clouded by Calciopoly” were Juve. They were the cheaters after all!

All those clubs were not relegated.
Juve was the only club sent to Serie B. The rest were simply docked points in the new season.

What intrests me is that Morratti talks about “a” Scudetto. Which suggests he only sees the last one as legit, as he was playing against a reduced field, and the first is handed in the courts.

The fact that he lost the dressing room, along with his outburst after the Liverpool game has meant the writing was on the wall really.
