I for one still really rate Deco. He has always talked about playing in the Prem someday, so maybe he’ll end up at Chelsea or somewhere. You are right about the yellow cards thing though, you would be buying him thinking he was going to miss one in every six or seven cos of suspension!

And there’s a LOT less buzz about Deco, who is also a discipline problem in that he picks up a lot of yellow cards for silly things. Every now and again a club will pop up, most recently Ajax. But Deco is the kind of player who isn’t that global superstar type, but fans of the side he lands at will be over the moon. He’s still one of the best attacking mids on the planet (when he’s on). When he’s off, he’s just a sulky, late-tackling pain in the butt.

I’ll be sorry not to see him in the colors next season, but Yaya has changed a great many things for us, all for the better, I think.

The Deco situation is stranger than the Ronnie one in its own way because there’s been a hell of alot of talk about the Dhino situation, from him, his agent and the club, but with Deco its like a wall of silence as far as I can see.

And then Ronaldo drags his kneeless self back so that devotees of RAI broadcasts can hear Ronaldo AND Ronaldinho in the same sentence.

He’ll also be able to give Super Pippo another year or so of life with his feeds into the box. Pato will feed like a crazy man.

It’s a good move for AC Milan, and for us. They’ll get their 2-3 years, then he’ll be off to somewhere else.

Plus, I’m still hoping that we’re in the Mourinho sweepstakes. But it’s doubtful. Buzz is that Ronaldinho and Deco are going because Rijkaard is staying in some capacity.

Kxevin, you make sense. I was going to suggest that whomever has tied up Mourinho would make a difference; but I do not see Ancelotti leaving AC Brazilan.

I can’t see the Special One being a lure. I think he’s going to AC Brazilan, and it’s all over but the shouting. It’s sure nice to know that he won’t be screwing up the world over in the Camp Nou locker room next season, I can tell you that.
