Ronaldo out, Kaka’ in? Summer just got interesting.

By: Rob | June 5th, 2008

Ricky in the rain for MilanYou’ve probably heard the news that C-Ron has decided that if Real Madrid do want to pay £70m for him, he might as well play for the club he grew up dreaming he’d play for. What you might not have heard is that Ricky Kaka’ has been on Milan radio and said how much he would like to fill the void that Ronnie is going to leave.

At first it seems something to immediatly dismiss, hell I did. But apparently – I can’t find an offical source for it yet I’ll put it here if I Do – Kaka’ was on Milan radio this afternoon and had this to say:

“I love Milan. I’ve had a great time here, won the Champions League and some great memories. But football is all about challenges and I feel I’m ready for a new one.”

While that last sentence will undoubtedly strike fear into the fans of the many Milanista here, it doesn’t exactly get better as the interview goes on.

“I’m young and at the peak of my football and want to play at the biggest level. The Premier League is the best league in the world and it’d be fantastic to be a part of that. And obviously Manchester is the best place to be at right now. They are European Champions, so it’s fantastic no?”

Even Kaka’ thinks the Prem is the place to be at the moment. He hasn’t exactly had a good season in Serie A, and with Milan not in the Champions League, it sort of makes sense. He almost talked himself into it by the end of the story by saying;

“United have some great players. Giggs and Scholes are legends. Then there’s Rooney. And also Anderson who is a good friend of mine, how can anyone say no? They are European Champions. It will be a dream come true.”

To almost drive the stake home – an South American newspaper is apparently running the story tomorrow that Milan will accept the offer so they can get Drogba in. This is all conjecture untill I can find an official source, but I can’t think of a season where two of the worlds best players have moved at the same time – it would be incredibly exciting if this comes off. Who knows? As I said I can’t find a source beyond internet hearsay at the moment, maybe it’ll all come up tomorrow – if it doesn’t please don’t shoot me there’s a long way to go yet.

    @shehan

    It’s hardly fair to call Man U a “step down” from Milan. Aside from diehard Milanistas, you will be hard pressed to find people to argue that Milan is THAT much better than Man U, if at all.

    Additionally, you ask what Man U can provide that Milan cannot…at least for next season that would be Champions League football.

    I am not insinuating that Milan is inferior to Man U, but at least for this upcoming season they cannot offer top quality football.

    noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, id feel so betrayed if he joined ManU, and plus, theve already go their sicnasty brazillian attacking midfielder, Anderson. Kaka would just lose playing time, and my respect. (although i suspect the latter doesnt count for much)

    ps, i prefer christie ron-ron over ronnie.

    I would love for this to happen.

    My Brazilian friend tells me that some south american papers are reporting this too.

    As a United fan, this will ease the pain of losing Ronaldo.

    Fingers crossed.

    Hi,

    Well it’d be good for the league. He would be welcome at chelsea but we’re not a big club. I hope united don’t get him but at the same time it would be a coup for the premiership. Btw my mother passed on. I’m doing ok, I just want you to know mum i’m thinking of you. I dedicate everything to you. You’ll always be in my heart, and my goal celebrations. Because I love you mother. I can’t think of anything else. You mum, you will always be in my heart and nobody can take it away. I love the big man too, but he will never take your place. Never. Well anyway back to my holiday. Terrys wifes having a whip round. Not to buy drinks, it’s just a game where she steals all the other ladies bras. I love her, but not as much as my mum or big john terry. I’ve seen him naked you know…

    I heard from my mate. Ronaldo’s going. He thinks uniteds midfield will be:

    C.Tevez W.Rooney
    Kaka

    Nani – Anderson – Carrick

    Sorry but Kaka’s a done deal by the sounds of it.

    I think for manchester, he be very good. Milan are like old man that need viagra to keep up good football. Manchester, on other foot, are young and tight with firm ass. I think this move will see kaka reafirming his position and numero due footballer in universe (after me).

    Morning webviewers,

    I am delighted to confirm Manchester United football club are in primary discussions with kaka of Ac Milan Football club.

    With the pending sale of the registration of Cristiano ‘judas’ Ronaldo, we realise this is a big moment in our history.

    How do you replace such a player? Well Kaka is who we’ve gone for and the deal is 80% done. All we have to do is iron out some minor details like parking space and wardrobe size.

    It was with great sadness we wave goodbye to judas but we are joyful in the knowledge that the great kaka will ply his trade at Manchester United, not Real fucking Madrid, next season

    Thank you

    This got out of hand quick.

    I knew it was from Red Cafe btw, that was where I read it firstly from, and as I said in my post, I was skeptical because no actual source was provided. It was just a slow day so I thought to hell with it.
