We want YOU to help pick the first annual Readers CL XI
By: Rob | May 8th, 2008
So yet another Champions League season is coming to a close. Soon we’ll know if Chelsea or Manchester United are champions of europe. There’s been some fantastic moments, and its been a pleasure to be here. So rather than us picking a team and telling you who has been the best*, we want you to help pick a readers 11.
So we’ve done is devolop a questionnaire, which we will give you in parts. Part One today, is goalkeepers. We’ve drawn up a shortlist you just have to pick the best. There’s even an ‘other’ option in case we’ve missed someone. Although votes for Dida will be disqualified. If you click here you can choose who you think has been the best goalkeeper this season. The player with the most votes will be the goalkeeper in the team of the tournament. Tomorrow we’ll go through the defenders.
So has Petr Cech played enough games to make the side? Did Real Madrid get knocked out too early for Casillias to be mentioned? Or has Van der Saar just been better than the rest. Have your say. The Champions League Offside Needs YOU!
*we may do this anyway.

I nominate Rick Astley.

Really shouldn’t have put that ‘other’ option!

As much as I tend to root against United, I have to say Van der Saar. He’s been a class above, and even Cech has made some notable errors in this CL. One vote for VDS.

Cech is just leading from VDS at the moment if you need an update, but you can change it readers.
