Ballon d’Or winner revealed?

Those teases at France Football – who chose the annual Ballon D’or winner have put up a teasing photo of this years winner holding the trophy. Obviously its only their hands and the trophy, but if you click here and see the picture, you can see that they may have just given away a touch too much.

See the picture on their main site, well, looking into the top of their super shiny trophy and you can see the reflection of the person holding it. And it sure as hell is not Leo Messi.

To tell the truth, My French is pretty basic (I can ask where the beer is and how to get ice cream), So it might just be a picture of Kaká holding the trophy last year, but I don’t think it is. I think its Cristiano Ronaldo.

Of course the Man United winger is expected to take the trophy anyway, after a season of scoring a ridiculous amount of goals, and picking up a Champions League and EPL winners medal, along with being courted by Real Madrid. It probably would be an upset – however good Messi, Torres, and Ibrahimovic have been this year (and they’ve been class), if anyone but C-Ron got it.

So over to you Offsiders. Have France Football let the cat out the bag early?
