Champions League Fantasy Football Roundup
By: Rob | September 19th, 2008
Week one of the Champions League, and week one of the fantasy football is finished. It wasn’t such a good week for me, i currently sitting just 40th out of 43. So yeah, not a bright start, mainly because half of my team didn’t play. I also made Leo Messi captain and he got just 2 points for completing at least 60 minutes. If you can’t rely on arguably the most gifted footballer in the world, who can you rely on? The average score was 51 points, i got 34 so that’ll give you an idea of how I can improve. If you want to see who is leading the league at this early stage, you can have a look after the jump.
After week one, the plaudits go to Spiderman and his team Pattaya Rangers. Rangers proved that Lampard and Gerrard can play together, in some form. And with his forsight to make the former Captain, it shot Spidey to 86 points, and the top of the table. Congratulations to him.
You can have a look at who constantly-injured Arsenal Midfielder Tomas Rosicky went with (he took my tip of Theo Wallcott) as well, here.
